For anyone that has children or grand children you may have seen or heard of the movie Horton Hears a Who. Very cute movie, my boys enjoyed it very much. Well, when I had purchased my Nikkor Micro lens a while back, I was very excited about the whole new "photographic world" I was going to enter and it reminded me of this movie. Everyday in our lives we go about our business and very rarely ever stop to smell the flowers. With this new lens, I not only get to stop and smell the flowers, I get the chance to see all their little parts, plus other cool stuff. |

I must admit that I hate blogging. I guess I feel like Im just not sure what people would like/want to read about. So I've been thinking of an idea. Foto Fridays! I am going to make sure that evey Friday I have my camera with me and I will photograph all the interesting things I see along my daily journey. I'll warn you, I am pretty boring sometimes. I thought along with those photographs I will put up my settings and compare several shots as well. It will be my images so I won't mind picking them apart. |

I had the chance to photograph a girl at her gymnastics meet this past weekend. I'm one of those photographers that will photograph anything at least once, most anything. I love a new challenge and took this as an adventure. As I started watching the gymnast warm up and then compete, it came to me that I should feel very comfortable in this arena. I was basically at a dressage show with no horses. The girls were dressed in their show attire. They braided their manes so beautifully. |

The show season is over and the awards have all been handed out. So what to do in the winter months? It's the perfect time to have some fun photos taken in a winter wonderland. Most people don't bother having their horses photographed in the winter because they aren't all sleak and shiney. They have their wolly winter coats on. Just imagine a photo of you snuggled up to your furry four legged friend and breathing in the winter air. You both have on an extra layer, but the photo is priceless! |

I have put this off long enough I guess. Im not much of a writer, so up until now I have given myself plenty of reasons why not to blog. I have had a few ideas this summer though that I thought if I had a blog I could share this. So here goes blogging, for fun :)
